From July 30–August 2, 39 students and 27 staff members gathered at Furnace Mountain Camp for our 2026 CYO Summer Camp.
This year’s camp was centered around Matthew 18:20: “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Throughout the weekend, we were reminded whether we gather in a large group for Mass or simply spend time together in small moments of fellowship, Christ is present among us when we gather in His name.
Students strengthened friendships through team games, while also showcasing their creativity through entertaining music videos and religious skits. Most importantly, we grew together in faith through praise and the celebration of daily Mass.
We are especially grateful to Father Won, who stayed with us throughout the entire camp and celebrated Mass with us; Father Bae, who visited and surprised everyone with ice cream to beat the heat; and PTO parents, who prepared a delicious donkatsu meal on our final day.
After six months of preparation, seeing our students enjoy camp, grow closer to one another, and encounter God together was truly a blessing. A heartfelt thank you to all of our CYO teachers and staff, Raphael young adult volunteers, SSYS Praise Band, PTO parents, Fr. Won, and Fr. Bae whose time, dedication, and service made CYO Camp 2026 possible!
